VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Book Exchange announced plans to close its Lynnhaven location on April 15, 2026, after nine years in business. The store’s management team announced the closure is due to the end of their lease, which they’ve decided not to renew.
While the Lynnhaven branch is closing, the company’s other locations in Virginia Beach on Nimmo Pkwy, Norfolk, and Chesapeake will remain open. In a Facebook post, management described the move as a difficult decision and thanked the community for its support.
Customers with existing store credit can continue to use their balance at the Lynnhaven site until the final day of business. After the location closes, credits will remain valid at the company’s three other regional branches. Store management noted that all other locations are thriving and will remain in operation.
