NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — In a few days, it won’t be just children coming into P.B. Young Sr Elementary with the opportunity to learn, but parents too.
P.B. Young Sr. Elementary provides education to over 200 students, but that number might double for a special one-day event. That’s courtesy of Norfolk-based nonprofit Reck League’s 3rd Annual Fitness Summit on March 3.
“There will be talk about education, wellness, financial aid,” said Diahnie Johnson, Reck League’s social impact specialist. “We’re going to have some social workers come out there. We’re going to have real professionals come out there and talk on behalf of everything that is going on within the community and how to strive and build and lift up when it comes to any of those things.”…
