NORFOLK, Va. — Naval Station Norfolk has immediately suspended its Trusted Traveler Program, tightening access to the world’s largest naval base as regional and global security concerns intensify.
The change, announced Monday, means anyone without authorized base credentials must now obtain a visitor pass from the installation’s Pass and ID office and be accompanied by an approved sponsor at all times while on base.
