Chesapeake shipyard worker wins $100,000 Virginia Lottery prize

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A Chesapeake shipyard worker decided to give a Virginia Lottery game one more attempt and won $100,000.

David Perry purchased the lottery scratcher game Power Payout Multiplier while at the Dunedin Food Mart in Chesapeake. He scratched the ticket in the parking lot and discovered he had won the game’s $100,000 second prize.

“I was shocked,” he told Virginia Lottery officials. “I couldn’t stop smiling.”…
