Some NSU students in off-campus housing advised to minimize excessive electricity use

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Energy costs are top of mind for just about everyone at the moment, including college institutions.

Some Norfolk State University students say they were recently informed that they may be fined for excessive electricity usage.

A handful of students who reside at Proximity, an off campus housing option, told 10 On Your Side if their electricity bill goes over a certain limit, they will be issued a $25 fine. Students say they are doing all they can to make sure they cut down on usage…
