Fire in Virginia Beach leaves 1 hospitalized; dog dies after oxygen treatment

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — One person was taken to a hospital, and one dog died, during a fire in Virginia Beach on Saturday evening.

The Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to the fire in the 1800 block of Foxhound Lane just after 6 p.m. Saturday. Flames were seen from the garage of the two-story home.

The fire was marked under control at 6:26 p.m. Firefighters rescued one adult and turned them over to EMS, which transported them to an area hospital. An adult was displaced. Firefighters also rescued two dogs and treated them with oxygen, but one died…
