CHESAPEAKE, Va. — An accidental fire on Knight Road Sunday morning caused damage to a home but did not displace the residents.
Chesapeake Fire Department responded to the fire in the 3000 block of Knight Road at 10:17 a.m. They found light smoke showing from the front door of a one-storm home. They found that a small fire had started in the mulch bed near the garage entrance door, had spread to the door frame and gotten into the interior garage wall. The home had minor smoke and fire damage in the garage area.
No injuries were reported, as the residents evacuated before firefighters arrived…
