Bond set for two men accused in Virginia Beach Oceanfront shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Matheus Cavalcante and Jamari Horton, two men accused of involvement in the March 7 shooting on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, were granted a $25,000 secured bond on Monday.

Officers patrolling the Virginia Beach Oceanfront heard shots fired in the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m. on March 7. Six people — five men and one woman — suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The judge placed several conditions on Horton’s bond, including that he must wear a GPS monitor and stay at his mother’s house. Horton had no prior criminal history.
