CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A bystander assisted a trapped driver Wednesday after striking a culvert in Chesapeake.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Indian Creek Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident and entrapment.
When officers arrived, they discovered a trapped driver in a vehicle in the waterway.
Police said a bystander had already helped the driver safely exit the vehicle before officers arrived. The driver nor the bystander reported any injuries; however, the driver was taken to Chesapeake Regional Medical Care for further evaluation…
