VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The new 7 p.m. curfew for unaccompanied minors at the Oceanfront heads into its second weekend, and while city officials and police say the change is a proactive way to keep the public safe, it is getting pushback from a local attorney.
The imminent threat curfew runs weekends from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for those 17 and under who are unaccompanied by an adult until the end of April and is enforced from Rudee Loop to 31st Street.

The citywide curfew remains in effect for unaccompanied minors 17 and under beginning at 10 p.m., an hour earlier than what had been in place previously.
