VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — This is the first weekend of the new 10 p.m. curfew for minors throughout the city.
There are two curfews, one is city wide, and the other is an emergency curfew at the Oceanfront sparked by a shooting at Atlantic Avenue that hurt 6 people.
VB Council approves 7 p.m. curfew at Oceanfront beginning Friday
The decision to move the curfew time from 11 p.m. to 10 p.m. was approved by City Council back on Feb. 17 and went in effect this past Thursday, March 19.
The curfew for minors now goes on from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Those under the age of 18 breaking the curfew could receive a verbal warning or up to a class four misdemeanor…
