Gas prices hit $4 mark in parts of Hampton Roads as regional average climbs

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) — Drivers across Hampton Roads are facing a sharp increase in costs at the pump as gas prices skyrocketed over the past several days, hitting the $4 mark in some areas.

The average price of gas in Virginia reached approximately $3.83 per gallon on Sunday, according to AAA. It’s a $1 increase from one month ago.
