NORFOLK, Va. — A 62-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $19,000 from a Norfolk doctor’s office where she worked as a bookkeeper, according to prosecutors.
Wendy Ann Latham entered guilty pleas to three counts of felony embezzlement in Norfolk Circuit Court.
Prosecutors said that from October 2017 through March 2019, Latham paid herself for unearned lunch breaks, overtime, and vacation hours, and failed to deduct amounts owed for employee health and dental insurance. The total amount embezzled was $19,725.47…
