VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Virginia Beach Fire Department says a lithium-ion battery sparked a small commercial fire on Diamond Springs Road Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 5:38 p.m. in the 1900 block of Diamond Springs Road. Crews arrived at 5:44 p.m. and found smoke coming from the two-story building. The building’s sprinkler system had activated and contained the fire to its area of origin.
Firefighters had extinguished the fire by 5:59 p.m. There were no injuries…
