Black bears caught on Chesapeake surveillance camera

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — It “bears” repeating — the furry four-legged animals are waking up and looking for food. They’re being spotted in several cities, including Chesapeake, sometimes in neighborhoods where nature meets the suburbs.

Black bears emerge from hibernation between mid-March and early May, which puts us right in the middle of their wake-up routine.
