Road closures announced for NATO Parade in Norfolk on April 18

NORFOLK, Va. — City officials have announced a series of street closures and traffic restrictions ahead of the NATO Parade on Saturday.

Closures will be in effect from approximately 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. along several downtown routes, including Granby Street between Main Street and Brambleton Avenue, Main Street between Martins Lane and Boush Street, Waterside Drive between Main Street and St. Paul’s Boulevard, Water Street between St. Paul’s Boulevard and Park Avenue, and Freemason Street between Boush Street and Monticello Avenue.

Parade units will begin staging along Water Street at 8:30 a.m. Water Street will start closing at 10:30 a.m., with full route closures beginning at 11 a.m. The entire route is expected to be secured by 11:30 a.m. The parade will kick off at noon, and streets are expected to reopen once the final unit passes, with all roads reopening by 3 p.m…
