VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach resident’s lawsuit involving the Oceanfront curfew crackdown was dismissed Tuesday, while another lawsuit filed by several business owners is moving forward.

There was a 9:30 p.m. curfew for everyone in the Oceanfront area Friday and Saturday nights in response to two mass shootings on Atlantic Avenue, and there’s another enforcecment set for this Friday.
Attorney Tim Anderson had argued that there was no imminent threat of civil disturbance constituting a clear and present danger that he argued was required under Virginia Code.
The city’s main argument was that Anderson’s client, Lisa Lawrence, lives 100 yards from the curfew area and did not have standing because she was not living in the curfew zone…
