NORFOLK, Va. — Federal authorities are offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect accused of robbing a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier in Norfolk earlier this year.
According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the robbery happened around 11:40 a.m. on February 7, in the 900 block of Merrimac Avenue. Investigators say the suspect approached the carrier, brandished a weapon, and demanded an “arrow key,” a specialized key used by postal workers to access mail collection boxes and certain postal facilities.
