Buckroe Market: The weekly Buckroe Beach Farmers Market scheduled for May 2 has been canceled. The market will return on May 9.

Newport News

Children’s Festival of Friends:The May 2 event is canceled. It will not be rescheduled.

Suffolk

Children’s Festival:The May 2 event is canceled. It will not be rescheduled. A news release from organizers stated, “The safety and well-being of attendees, performers, vendors, and staff remain the City’s top priority. After careful consideration of weather forecasts predicting rain, officials have made the difficult decision to cancel the event. At this time, there are no plans to reschedule the event.”

Virginia Beach

Healthy Living Expo: The expo originally scheduled for this upcoming weekend at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront is being moved to July 17-19, 2026.

Yorktown

Boots, Brews and Barbecue Festival: Rescheduled from Saturday, May 2 to Sunday, May 17. Tickets purchased for the original date (May 2) will automatically transfer to the new date. If you have any questions regarding ticketing, contact Village Events, Ltd. at [email protected].

Manns Harbor, NC

Manns Harbor Day: Due to the expected rain, organizers announced the event is being rescheduled to Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Manns Harbor Community Building.
