PORTSMOUTH, VA. (WAVY) – The role of nursing in hospitals is not a subtle calling, but the backbone to helping restore people’s wellness. It is their courage to serve others in dire circumstances that can cause patients to recover from illness and injury. The Nurse Honor Guard of Southeastern Virginia is dedicated to giving nurses who have passed away a tribute, in a similar fashion to military service members.
