PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– The 34th Annual Umoja Festival is kicking of Friday in Portsmouth.
Umoja, meaning “unity” in Kiswahili, celebrates African American culture, heritage and community spirit. The Umoja Festival is set to bring together a huge lineup of national acts in jazz, reggae, gospel and rhythm and blues.
