Iowa National Guard Sending 120 Soldiers to Washington, D.C., for America250 Support

DEWS MOINES – Approximately 120 Iowa National Guard soldiers are scheduled to deploy to Washington, D.C., in July for a six-month mission tied to public safety and preparations for America250 celebrations, officials said.

The soldiers will operate under Title 32, 502(f) status while working with the District of Columbia National Guard and personnel from other states, according to officials.
