Veterans return from DC trip to cheers and gratitude after 50th Indy Honor Flight

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — As the American flag flew high above, 86 Vietnam and Korean War veterans arrived with a police escort to Plainfield High School.

They spent the day in Washington, D.C. visiting memorials built in their honor — including the Korean War Veterans Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
