WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOWK) — A group of West Virginia National Guardsmen (WVNG) rose to the occasion during their mission in Washington, D.C.
According to a social media post from the WVNG, Spc. Minniti, Spc Jenkins, Pfc. Rucker and Sgt. Jurkovitz were participating in daily physical fitness training on June 7 when they were called to action.

The post said a civilian suffered a medical emergency, and while 1LT Smith contacted 911, the Guardsmen gave first aid until responders arrived.
