WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A former Voice of America employee was sentenced to prison after he threatened to kill former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia announced Thursday.

The USAO said that 65-year-old Seth Jason of Edgewater, Md., will spend 30 months in prison after a “15-month campaign of intimidation in which he made anonymous death threats” against Greene.

Jason, who was a Voice of America employee at the time, pleaded guilty in December 2025 to one count of interstate communications with a threat to kidnap or injure and one count of anonymous telecommunications harassment.
