3 dead after small plane crashes at public park in Maryland

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (7News) — Three adults are dead after a small aircraft crashed at a community park in Bowie, Maryland, late Saturday night.

According to Maryland State Police (MSP), the preliminary investigation suggests the plane crashed in the wooded area of Archer Park around 11:30 p.m. on June 20 while flying from Ocean City, New Jersey, to Montgomery County Airpark.

MSP said the victims include the pilot and two passengers. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
