29 year sentence for woman who killed 3 while speeding off from 2023 DC traffic stop

WASHINGTON (7News) — The woman who hit and killed three people with her car in D.C. while trying to get away from a traffic stop in 2023 will spend the next 29 years behind bars.

Nikita Walker, 45, was sentenced on Thursday, more than three years after the deadly crash on Rock Creek Parkway.

“Three lives were lost because of Nakita Walker’s reckless and violent choices,” said U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said in a statement. “Their families now carry a grief that can never fully heal. Today’s sentence reflects the profound harm caused and reinforces that fleeing law enforcement and endangering others has devastating consequences.”…
