WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man says DC Water charged him over $7,000 for his June water bill, and now he’s hoping to get his money back.
Seth Spiro shared his most recent DC Water bill with DC News Now, showing a $7,761 balance for the month of June. He said he didn’t realize the hefty charges until he got an alert for a large charge to his credit card this past Monday, and since his DC Water account is set to autopay, the charge went through before he realized what had happened.
