WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Officials said that a tree fell down near the National Cathedral after severe storms crossed the DMV on Tuesday.
In a post shortly after 8:15 p.m., Alert DC said that the Metropolitan Police Department had closed the 3800 block of Massachusetts Ave. NW, between 38th Street and Idaho Avenue.
There, a tree had been downed.
Police asked drivers to use alternate routes as crews worked at the scene…
