Montgomery County police have identified the woman who died Monday night after she was struck by a vehicle in Rockville along with her young son as Raoudha Khelifi, 44, of Rockville, the department said Wednesday morning in a news release.
According to police, Khelifi and her 4-year-old son were struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Twinbrook Parkway.
Kehlifi’s death marks the 10th pedestrian fatality to occur in the county this year, according to the Zero Deaths Maryland crash database. Earlier this month, 67-year-old Tesfaye Fugago Liranso died several weeks after he was struck by a vehicle in Gaithersburg. In mid-June, Hanna Wegayehou, 61, was killed while walking along Crestmoor Drive and Colesville Road in Silver Spring.
