WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Medics evaluated one person after a fire ripped through the roof of an apartment building in Northeast D.C. late Thursday night.
In a post on the X social media platform around 10 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said that units were dispatched to a working fire in the 1500 Block of Benning Road NE at the Pentacle Apartments. There, a large fire had engulfed a unit on the third floor.
