Two Maryland hospitals hit by cyberattack, compromising systems

Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham were struck by cyberattacks that are causing some ambulances to reroute where they take non-critical patients.

Parent company Luminis Health posted an alert on their website Tuesday evening.

“Luminis Health is currently responding to a cybersecurity incident affecting certain systems across our organization,” the alert states. “Upon identifying the incident, we took immediate steps to address the situation and launched an investigation with the support of legal counsel and third-party cybersecurity experts.”…
