Maurizio’s in Potomac is the only Maryland restaurant featured on Eater DC’s list of “Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings Around D.C. This Fall 2026.”
As previously reported, Maurizio’s is taking over the former Renato’s space at 10120 River Road in the Potomac Village Shopping Center. The Italian concept comes from WildGoat Hospitality, the team behind Cava Mezze, Julii, Melina, and Bouboulina.
The restaurant is named in honor of Maurizio Luise, a longtime friend of the founders and operations leader for the group who passed away unexpectedly in November 2025. According to the restaurant, the concept reflects “his warmth, generosity, and love of bringing people together around the table.”…
