WASHINGTON (7News) — Saturday will be a humid, unsettled day across the D.C. area, with clouds, occasional showers, and a better chance for more widespread thunderstorms late in the day and Saturday night.
A warm front lifting north may bring a few showers Saturday morning. Much of the afternoon could be mostly cloudy and muggy, with temperatures climbing to around 80 degrees. A stray thunderstorm is possible during the afternoon, but the greater chance for showers and thunderstorms looks to arrive during the evening and continue into the night.
The atmosphere will contain plenty of tropical moisture, meaning any storm could produce a quick, heavy downpour. Localized flooding is possible, especially in poor-drainage and low-lying areas.
