The Virginia State Police is investigating an apparent shooting that took place on I-66 last night (Tuesday) near the Nutley Street interchange outside Vienna.
First responders with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were sent at around 8:15 p.m. to a reported shooting in the highway’s eastbound lanes near the Nutley Street ramp, according to scanner traffic.
“A Toyota Rav4 was travelling eastbound on Interstate 66 when the occupants heard a loud bang, and a passenger in the rear of the car reported injuries,” the VSP said in a press release this morning (Wednesday). “The injured passenger was transported to an area hospital; the injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.”…
