What’s Next: Mistrial for Trayon White

Washington (DC News Now) — A DC judge has declared a mistrial in the federal bribery trial against Ward 8 DC Councilmember Trayon White (D).

White was accused of accepting $35,000 in cash bribes on four separate occasions in exchange for using his influence on city council. The decision follows five days after testimony and jury deliberation with jurors ultimately saying they were deadlocked on a decision. DC top prosecutor, Jeanine Pirro saying her office will retry him.
