An Ethiopian coffee shop with locations in Rockville and Silver Spring is coming to College Park.
Located on the ground floor of the Union on Knox student housing, Black Lion Café will serve coffee made with handpicked specialty coffee beans imported from the Sidama, Harrar and Yirgacheffe regions of Ethiopia.
Owner Abdu Tuku, who is Ethiopian, took over the business in Rockville in 2020 from founder Emmanuel Manoles, expanding to Silver Spring in 2023 and opening a roasting facility near Dulles in 2025…
