State police have charged a Maryland woman with assaulting a trooper during a confrontation on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Thursday morning. Margot Bass, 53, of Takoma Park, a Washington, D.C., suburb, faces a felony aggravated assault charge as well as two charges of resisting arrest and two summary driving violations.
