$81 Million in Unclaimed Funds Returned to Maryland Residents Last Year; Make a Claim For This Year

Maryland has a plan to reunite many people with property that is legally theirs. Feb. 1 marked both Maryland and national “Unclaimed Property Day.”. The Maryland Comptroller’s Office is responsible for all unclaimed property in the State. Last year, $81 million was returned in unclaimed funds. This February marks the start of a new campaign to help more people get their own unclaimed stuff.
