Fourth Suspect in Bonifant Street Homicide, D’Angelo Holley, Apprehended in Montgomery County

D’Angelo Holley, a fourth suspect, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Deandre Keith Ellis. The incident took place on March 5, 2023, in Gaithersburg, MD. Ellis was fatally shot in a car near the Sweet Sweet Kitchen on Bonifant Street. Holley was arrested on February 5, 2024, in Montgomery County after evading arrest since the shooting.

The Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes detectives issued an arrest warrant for Holley on October 19, 2023. The 24-year-old, who does not have a permanent address, was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Here, he was served with the arrest warrant, which charges him with first-degree murder.

Three other suspects, Kajohn McCombs, Ahmahd McCombs, and D’Andre Lukes, were previously arrested for their alleged involvement in Ellis’s murder. They are currently held without bond.

Holley is awaiting a bond hearing. His arrest is a step forward in the investigation into the Bonifant Street homicide.
