WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A man said he ran into his daughter’s school in Northwest D.C. Monday. When he came out, someone was stealing his car.
The man filed a report with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) early in the afternoon. The report says that the theft happened at 421 P St. NW, which is the address of KIPP DC Shaw Campus.
KIPP’s Grow Academy, Lead Academy, and WILL Academy at the location serve students from PreK3 through Grade 8.
Thieves target cars in Navy Yard parked in garages of luxury apartments
The man told police he went into the school to pick up his daughter. As he was coming out of the school, he saw someone he didn’t know jump into his silver Kia Sorento. The person left in the SUV, heading northbound on 5th Street NW.
