Suspects approach man pumping gas at Northwest DC Exxon showing guns, run away after gas is poured on them

WASHINGTON – An investigation is underway after a man said he was approached while trying to get gas in Northwest D.C. by people with guns early Wednesday morning. Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to an Exxon station on Rhode Island Avenue Northwest, near 3rd Street Northwest, around 5:45 a.m. after a report of multiple people brandishing guns at the man. Police say the alleged attackers left the location after the man sprayed them with gas.
