Police: 5 hurt in shooting in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was at the scene of a shooting that broke out Friday evening in Southeast D.C.

The shooting happened in the 900 block of Varney Street, SE.

Second day of trial wraps for teen girls accused in DC murder

MPD confirmed five people were shot – three women and two men. They were all taken to the hospital conscious and breathing.
