Judge delays trial for accused ‘Shopping Cart Killer’ of five women in Washington, DC and Virginia

A judge this week postponed the murder trial of Anthony Eugene Robinson, the alleged “Shopping Cart Killer” who is linked to the deaths of five women in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Robinson was set to begin a five-day trial on September 23, 2024. However, that will not take place until later.

“Shopping Cart Killer”

Robinson is known as the “Shopping Cart Killer” because Police said they believe shopping carts were used to move and dump the victims’ bodies in remote areas. However, prosecutors can’t use the “shopping cart killer” label during the trial.

The judge granted a defense motion to forbid prosecutors and witnesses from using the terms “shopping cart killer” or “serial killer.
