WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was shot in Southeast D.C. on Sunday afternoon.
MPD said it was dispatched at around 4:45 p.m. for a shooting in the 400 block of 51st Street.

There, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was conscious and breathing.
First responders took him to the hospital for treatment.
