DC police investigating 2 separate shootings; 2 people hurt

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was investigating two separate shootings that happened Wednesday night.

One shooting happened at the 1600 block of Marion Barry Ave. in Southeast D.C. where a woman was hurt.

Former DC special police officer indicted for using unreasonable force in arrest

The second shooting happened in the 800 block of Taylor Street in Northwest. A man was found shot there.

Both victims were taken to the hospital were treatment. They were both conscious and breathing, MPD said.
