Bengals CB Refuses to Apologize to Jayden Daniels After MNF Loss

The Cincinnati Bengals are in deep trouble. Monday Night Football saw Cincinnati get taken apart methodically by Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. The 38-33 loss puts the Bengals at an unpleasant 0-3 record to start the year.

There’s also some controversy surrounding the team. Prior to the MNF matchup, Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt had some interesting comments about the Commanders . Taylor-Britt said that the offense doesn’t make Daniels do a lot and that it’s simplified for him.

Naturally, these comments came back to haunt Taylor-Britt. However, the Bengals cornerback insisted that he didn’t mean any malice with his comments, and gave credit to the Commanders.

“I do not regret it and I didn’t mean anything malicious coming out of it,” Taylor-Britt said, via Kelsey Conway. “It was just made bigger than what it was.”

Taylor-Britt’s assessment of the Commanders offense was right in some regards. Washington made quick work of the Bengals by using quick throws into soft spots in their zone coverage to dismantle the team, as well as efficient running from Austin Ekeler.
