DC police chase ends with crash in Virginia

ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — A Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) chase ended after a person crashed in Virginia on Wednesday, police said.

In a post on the X platform just before 1:20 p.m., the Alexandria Police Department (APD) said that officers were assisting the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) with a pursuit.

APD’s post said that the chase ended after the car crashed, and one person was in custody.

ACPD said that its officers were involved in a chase “initiated by the Metropolitan Police Department that entered Arlington County.”

Police said traffic lights were out at the intersection of N Van Dorn Street and W Braddock Road. Drivers should treat it as a four-way stop.

No injuries were reported.

MPD was handling the investigation into the case.
