How Are Commanders ‘In the Pocket’?

The Washington Commanders enjoyed a superb road win over the Cincinnati Bengals, 38-33, in Week 3, but head coach Dan Quinn knows the team can’t get too excited over one result.

While the rest of the NFL world was captivated by the performance, Quinn used it as an opportunity to ground his team.

After the game, the Commanders then flew straight to Arizona for their matchup against the Cardinals , and Quinn says that doing that has helped his team remain grounded after such a good performance a week ago.

“We kind of just stayed in this pocket together,” Quinn said . “We had a win, we enjoyed it …  and then we kind of got right back into what was at hand. … It was nice … everybody together doing our stuff.”

It’s clear that Quinn doesn’t want his team drinking the Kool-Aid, and if the opening three weeks of the season have taught us anything, it’s that the NFL is fickle.
