Commanders Won’t Overlook Lowly Panthers

The Washington Commanders have a respectable 4-2 record after the season’s first six weeks, and while head coach Dan Quinn has had many teachable moments, his most important one comes now.

One could make the argument that in the first six weeks, the Commanders have been underdogs in each game, so not too much was expected of Jayden Daniels and Co., but up next is a 1-5 Carolina Panthers team that is there for the taking.

Many outside the building expect the Commanders to easily account for the Panthers, but Quinn isn’t interested in what is said outside the locker room’s four walls.

“Well, fortunately for us, we on the inside,” Quinn said . “Absolutely going for it in terms of things that we can improve on, and the guys have thrown a good week, and so when we make and not just Carolina or any opponent, our attention is on us, and I think there’s a lot that we want to get better at and I said seven weeks ago would we beat the team we were in Week 1? The answer was yes, and we expect a lot of improvement over the next month and a half as well, and we’re going to dig and work really hard at that.”
